Pedernales Electric offers billing options to help smooth the seasonal highs and lows reflected on electric bills. The Fixed Payment Plan and the Average Payment Plan are available to residential, farm/ranch, and water well members who are current on their accounts and have at least 12 months of history at the same location. You may enroll anytime, and payments under either plan begin with the first bill rendered after enrollment.

Fixed Payment Plan
Under the Fixed Payment Plan, you'll pay a fixed amount each month based on the average electric use of the 12 months prior to beginning the plan, plus 10 percent. This premium is added to cover unexpectedly harsh weather and help prevent large recalculations. PEC will also periodically review your account to determine if adjustments are necessary to help avoid an excessive annual true-up.

Discount Available With Fixed Payment Plan
For the ultimate in convenience, you can sign up for the Fixed Payment Plan along with an
Automatic Payment Plan—and PEC will give you a discount. If you select fixed payments along with the Bank Draft Payment Plan, you'll receive 10 percent off your first bill in the plan. Selecting the Credit Card Payment Plan along with fixed payments will save you 5 percent on your first bill with the plan.

Average Payment Plan
On the Average Payment Plan, the payment is calculated from your rolling 12-month average. Unlike the Fixed Payment Plan, bills will not be the same amount every month.
