Pedernales Electric's Board of Directors takes a thoughtful and deliberate approach to making decisions in the best interest of the entire membership. The guiding principles for the Board's actions are found in PEC's Bylaws.
PEC's Bylaws establish rules not only for Board conduct, but for membership in Pedernales Electric as well. These rules provide guidelines on meetings, Board elections, and qualifications for membership, among other things. The bylaws periodically evolve to reflect the rapidly changing business climate of the electric cooperative industry.
Our ongoing commitment to provide members with reliable, reasonably priced electricity and outstanding member service is a responsibility we take very seriously. By familiarizing yourself with our Bylaws, you can better understand how the Cooperative works.
The Cooperative also is governed by its Articles of Incorporation. The most recent changes to the Articles, four amendments including a member bill of rights, were approved by PEC members in 2010.
