Being prepared for emergencies is important. It’s our aim to provide members with reliable electricity, but no system is completely immune to power interruptions.
To support our members during major service disruptions, we have an Emergency Operations Plan that provides us with an orderly, coordinated approach to electric service restoration. Likewise, you should learn what you can do to prepare and what steps to take if your service is interrupted.
While PEC cannot guarantee uninterrupted service and cannot be held liable for damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, we’re on call and ready to support our members 24/7.
We rely on 70-ton mobile transformers as temporary backups, and we practice preventive monitoring and maintenance of our equipment and facilities.
