Green Works is Pedernales Electric’s ongoing effort to advance the use of renewable technologies, environmental responsibility and conservation activities. Among the goals outlined in the Cooperative's strategic plan: By 2020, 30 percent of PEC’s electric generation capacity will come from renewable resources, and we’ll reduce demand growth by 20 percent annually through energy efficiency and demand management programs.
Responsibility 
We’re reducing the environmental impact of our business practices by using biodegradable oil in our transformers, adding hybrid vehicles to our fleet and making more changes.
