Power Rush Hour

Shift energy use away from peak hours and save next year

By using less energy between 2 and 6 p.m. during the summer, you and your fellow members can help reduce your transmission costs the whole next year!

Our Power Rush Hour program is all about lowering transmission costs, which are based on energy use during four “peak events” each summer: periods of high use during June, July, August and September, usually occurring between 2 and 6 p.m. By shifting your energy use outside those hours, you can help PEC save on transmission costs for the next year — savings we pass through directly to our members.
