District 1 Director Cristi Clement was elected to the PEC board in 2009. She is a retired U.S. Air Force contracting officer, who during her 24 years of service served on Small Business Economic Development Councils, spent 10 years as Air Force liaison to the Small Business Administration and was the Rhineland-Pfalz (Germany) chapter president of the National Contract Management Association for two terms. She spent most of her time as the lead contracting officer for the aerospace and major weapons systems programs.
Prior to her Air Force career, Clement spent 13 years working as a systems analyst/programmer for Union Equity Co-operative Exchange, a six-state regional commodities cooperative involved in international trading and grain exports.
Clement holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors in liberal studies from the University of Oklahoma and earned a Master of Arts with honors in procurement and acquisition management from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. She resides in Marble Falls with her husband, Doug Moore.
